Once The Joy To Many Of His Viewers, Sinbad Now Learns To Walk Again

Sinbad, who was born David Adkins, is a famous actor and a stand-up comedian. Back in 2020 he experienced a terrible ischemic stroke caused by a blood clot that moved from his heart to his brain…

I know it’s impossible, but for those of you that don’t know, Sinbad gained fame with his HBO stand-up specials and work on sitcoms like “A Different World” and the short-lived “The Sinbad Show.” He has also acted in several films, including “Houseguest,” “First Kid” and the Christmas comedy “Jingle All the Way.”

At the time when the statement was released back in 2020, Sinbad began a successful rehabilitation road. The family expressed gratitude to all the support to his family, friends and fans, and requested additional prayers for the actor to regain full health soon.

His family said that the actor is getting better and explained what they had to go through since the stroke.

The physicians discovered that he had another clot that had to be treated immediately.

Before being placed in a medically induced come, Sinbad experienced several more medical issues. But in those difficult moments, Sinbad is very truly wealthy to be surrounded and supported by his family every step of the way.

Sinbad was released from the intensive care unit in July 2021 after 9 months of walking on a harsh road to recovery.

His family has now stated that he is still receiving therapy and struggling for every inch.

For two years since the first incident, Sinbad remained optimistic that he’ll truly heal and regain all his functions 100%, despite doctors saying that the odds of surviving such a traumatic experience were only about 30%.

His hands and legs who were labeled as “dead” suddenly regained function, which many say it’s a pure miracle! The singer was battling to walk again for two years.

Sinbad’s family posted on the actor’s Instagram page about his progress, showing a heartbreaking photo of him in physical therapy trying to walk again, accompanied by walking assistance and looking determined.

“Sinbad appreciates all the love and support you have shown him over the last two years. Many of you have asked for updates and if there is anything Sinbad needs or what you can do to help. As a result, the family has created a site where you can keep up to date with his progress and also provide an avenue for those who wish to give. “Stay funky, stay blessed,” his family wrote in the captions alongside the photo.

The actor is blessed to have a wife like Meredith Adkins (who’s been married with him twice). The couple got married back in 1986 and had 2 kids before divorcing in 1992. Then got remarried in 2002 and have been together since through thick and thin.

His kids are also a huge support. His son Royce Beckly Adkins, a lookalike like his father, and his daughter Paige Adkins are always there to support him.

His family expressed their gratitude on Facebook for everybody’s help, including good wishes, texts, phone calls, flowers, but most of all, prayers.

At the end of the website, there’s an emotional message from the family: “Thank God for everything he’s given you, even if it’s not everything you asked for. Thank God for family and hug the ones you love while you’re still with them. We need each other to get through this journey. I can’t wait to see you all again soon. As always, stay funky, stay prayed up.” — SINBAD
