Madeleine Mccann Investigation Sees Major Turn After Evidence Found On Seized Hard Drive
German police have found shocking evidence that implies Madeleine McCann is dead, which is a significant development in the investigation.
Eighteen years after the British girl went missing in 2007, while on vacation in Portugal with her family, the case is still one of the most talked about in history.
Most people are still baffled by the mystery after almost 20 years, but a raid on the bolthole of long-time suspect Christian Brueckner by German police produced some shocking discoveries that offer compelling evidence that Maddie, who would now be 21 years old, is tragically dead.
Brueckner is incarcerated for the 2005 rape of an American lady in Praia da Luz, Portugal, and was initially officially under investigation in 2020.

He was cleared of all of these charges last year, though, and unless prosecutors can establish that he is the one who killed Madeleine all those years ago, he might be freed as early as September 2025.
According to The Sun, even though he had no children of his own, masks, unlicensed firearms and ammunition, bikes and children’s toys were located at his hideout. Up to 75 children’s swimming costumes were also found there.
Photographs also unequivocally depict him near the Arade Dam, around 35 miles from the scene of Maddie’s initial disappearance in Praia De Luz. Additionally, authorities have finally established that he was present at a festival when he allegedly told a friend named Madeleine that she “did not scream.”
A hard disc with pictures that were previously discovered on the suspect’s computer may also be crucial in bringing Brueckner to justice because they capture him during a moment that has caught the attention of investigators for almost 20 years.
Although the precise contents of the hard drive have been kept under wraps by German authorities, the Mirror reports that some of it is anticipated to be made public for the first time tonight, May 7, in a documentary. It is thought to contain evidence that McCann is dead.
Speaking on Aussie TV, German prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters said back in 2020, as per the Sun: “We have strong evidence that Madeleine McCann is dead and that our suspect killed her.”
“We don’t have the body and no parts of the body, but we have enough evidence to say our suspect killed Madeleine McCann.”
Additionally, Brueckner allegedly crashed at the festival, and police located his insurance claim at that time, proving for the first time that he was present in April 2008.
The hard drive also contained unsettling tales that Brueckner had written about his fixation with kidnapping children. These tales included incidents in which he drugged a mother and her daughter outside of a preschool and mistreated a four-year-old blonde girl.
It is the hope of the police that this additional evidence will serve as the impetus for the eventual resolution of this tragic case.
