Kevin Costner Sparks Headlines Over Relationship With Billionaire’s Ex
Hollywood legend Kevin Costner seems to have found love again after going through a difficult and well-publicized divorce. This time, he is dating a billionaire’s ex-wife, who is “exactly his type,” according to reports.
Just months prior to revealing his unexpected divorce from 51-year-old handbag designer Christine Baumgartner, Kevin Costner extolled the virtues of his 2004 marriage and the “power of love.”
“My wife does things that just completely…It just helps. The house is prettier because of her. Everything is warmer because of her. There are these little things that she does, and I think it’s the power of love, but that she makes her home that way,” the star told People in November 2022.
Baumgartner, the mother of Costner’s three children, filed for divorce in May 2023, claiming that they couldn’t agree. This led to a tense legal struggle over money and custody that ended in February 2024. Baumgartner had sought $248,000 per month in child support, but the Yellowstone star was forced to pay her $63,209 per month instead.
Costner crushed
Fox News reports that the couple agreed to “joint legal and physical custody” of their three children, Cayden, 18, and Hayes, 16, plus daughter Grace,15.
Describing the split as “a crushing moment,” the Oscar-winning actor told CBS Mornings that “It’s powerful. It hurt.”
“But I go forward. I have no choice – my children are looking at me…So I can’t wilt like a daisy, I have to go forward. I have to continue to be who I am and keep a special eye on who they are,” the Dances with Wolves star said.
Happy after ‘dark time’
According to insiders, Costner has since moved on and is seeing a 46-year-old director named Kelly Noonan Gores, who was once married to 72-year-old billionaire Alec Gores.
Costner has allegedly made an effort to keep the affair quiet, but his recent appearances with the stunning blonde at the JAS Labor Day Experience festival in Aspen indicate that things are getting more serious. According to insiders, the romance is simply “what he needs.”
“Kevin is dating and happy again after a very dark time in his life,” one insider told RadarOnline.com. “He has been seeing Kelly. He has tried to keep it very hush hush because he doesn’t want this to go off the rails.”
The same source claims that following the turmoil of his divorce, Costner characterizes Kelly as “calm” and simply “what he needs.”
“She is exactly his type and they have a lot in common: the outdoors, sports – she likes to surf – long walks with dogs,” the tipster added. “Also, she has young kids and he loves kids, so he thinks that’s cute.”
‘Hot and heavy’
“With Kelly, she has fallen into his charm 110%. He thinks she is very nice, super sexy and likes hanging out with her,” shared another insider. “Kevin can get almost any woman he wants, and Kelly is his target right now and they both are enjoying each other’s company.”
The source added, “It is hot and heavy right now, and the sky is the limit. He’s looking to hang out with her as much as possible, and she is all for it as well.”
Casual dating
Costner and Noonan Gores “are hanging out casually and were connected by friends,” a third person told US Weekly.
“They both frequent Aspen often and have mutual friend groups,” the source told the outlet, adding that the relationship is “not serious yet.” “They have been getting to know each other and seeing each other casually when they can.”
It’s not just Costner who is moving on. According to E News, Baumgartner recently said “yes” when financier Josh Conner proposed to her at a romantic beach dinner in Santa Barbara, Calif.
