Hilary Swank Posted An Update That Her Fans Simply Can’t Ignore

Many people use the days leading up to Christmas as an opportunity to take charge of their lives and express gratitude for the blessings they have received.

As a result, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that the internet, and especially social media, are rife with warm and fuzzy posts about loved ones and boastful displays of the parts of people’s life about which they are most grateful.

Personally, I enjoy taking a picture of my family each year in front of the Christmas tree. If nothing else, it’s a souvenir of a happy memory to hold onto for the days when I’m too old to remember the details of my life.

Of course, many famous people shared details of their holiday celebrations on social media.

There were not many who were able to make us feel warm and fuzzy like Hilary Swank did.

The 48-year-old actress’s good mood can be attributed to the fact that she is carrying twins, for which she is extremely grateful.

Swank took a photo of herself and her growing baby bump in matching red and white striped pajamas in front of a Christmas tree and shared it on Instagram.

“We couldn’t wish for a more incredible miracle ✨,” Hilary captioned her photo. “So grateful for these two gifts of a lifetime!! 🎁🎁.”

The actress from “Million Dollar Baby” then extended his holiday greetings to everyone.

“Merry Christmas Everyone!! Wishing you all miracles in your own lives in whatever forms they take. 🙌🏽#MerryChristmas #Miracles,” she wrote.

In October, Swank shared the news that she was expecting twins. Her and her husband Philip Schneider’s families allegedly have a history of twins, so that detail of her revelation didn’t come as much of a surprise.

Perhaps regrettably, the focus shifted to the fact of her advanced age. Swank, at age 48, is well past the age at which most women can expect to become pregnant, and the debate about the (ludicrous) “proper” age at which a woman should cease attempting to become a mother resurfaces every time a female celebrity conceives in her 40s, as was the case with Swank.

Swank, though, is justified in her joy at the news that she is carrying a child. Her father’s birthday is the day before she’s due, which is especially painful given that he passed away a year ago.

The actress discussed the heartwarming occurrence on a recent episode of The Drew Barrymore Show.

“You just announced that your father passed away one year ago, and this miracle is happening,” Barrymore said at the time.

“Yeah, and they are due on his birthday,” Hilary replied.

“This is something that I’ve been wanting for a long time, and my next thing is I’m going to be a mom,” Swank said on Live with Kelly and Ryan.

With regards to the topic of her being a “older” mom, the 48-year-old actress told Extra TV that it was all a matter of timing.

“I was having a career and not having the right relationship until … four years ago, and all the elements needed to come together and be right,” she explained.

She later added: “It’s just something I thought about even as a young girl. It’s something that was on my mind, so it’s nice to be here and just be pregnant.”

The Oscar winner has stated that the fact that her twins are coming on a day that has significant meaning to her is the thing she is looking forward to the most about the arrival of her children.

“It’s beautiful,” she said. “It’s all aligning, and my dad, he was one of my favorite people in the world, so it is kind of like … this tribute of life with them being born on this birthday.”

Maybe you don’t share my elation for Hilary Swank, but she has my undying admiration. We hope she finds success at whichever level she aims for. Have fun becoming a mother!
