Frank Caprio, Beloved TV Judge, Reveals Heartbreaking News In An Emotional Video
The famous judge and Caught in Providence actor Frank Caprio broke the news of his cancer diagnosis in a heartfelt video he posted on social media on December 6.
The 87-year-old, who retired not long ago, informed viewers that he had been “diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas, which is an insidious form of cancer” after briefly discussing his birthday in the video.
”This birthday is a little different than any other I have ever had. Quite recently, I was not feeling well and received a medical examination and the report was not a good one,” the television personality began the clip.
His present treatment is taking place in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, he said.
“I pray that God guides their thoughts and their hands in their treatment of me. I know this is a long road and I’m fully prepared to fight as hard as I can,” he continued.
A request was made by Caprio asking his fans and followers to pray for him.
“One thing that people ask me is, ‘What can I do for you?’ First of all, I can’t thank all of you enough for your friendship and your kind messages. But I would ask each of you in your own way to please pray for me. I am in need of the power of prayer, which I believe, in addition to the medical treatment that I’m receiving, is the most powerful weapon to help me survive this.”
Caprio was appointed to the position of Providence Municipal Court Judge in 1985.
In the Providence, Rhode Island region, his cases were shown on public access and local television.
His family’s show, Caught in Providence, became syndicated when clips from it proved popular on YouTube.
