Eric Trump Reveals Barron’s Unexpected Comment To Joe Biden Before Trump’s Inauguration Speech

According to the businessman, his brother’s quiet comment to the former president at the 2025 inauguration was much more courteous than the offensive words that went viral online.

During the 2025 inauguration, Eric Trump provided insight into a widely shared incident involving President Joe Biden and his younger brother, Barron Trump. Eric responded to the long-running rumours about what Barron said to Joe in January 2025 during an appearance on the “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast.

President Donald Trump’s last speech as commander-in-chief occurred just before this. The short interaction generated a lot of discussion on the internet, with many internet users saying Barron had said something offensive. Eric brushed those accusations off, characterising his brother as quiet and courteous. “Barron’s the quietest Trump,” he said to Kelly. “He’s a little shy, but he’s smart as hell.”

Recalling their conversation, Eric said he had asked Barron directly about what he said that day. “He told me it was something so polite — congratulations, or best of luck — something very respectful,” Eric explained.

He added that Barron would never have used the language suggested online. “He just doesn’t have that in him,” Eric said. “He’s a nice guy… too courteous to actually go out there and say it.”

The identical issue was raised by several tabloids during the brief exchange between Barron and the former president of the United States: What did Barron say to Joe?

It happened at the 2025 inauguration when Joe went up to shake Barron’s hand. A brief conversation was captured on camera. Barron leaned in to respond to what seemed to be Joe’s opening statement. The video went viral, and some internet users referred to the exchange as enigmatic.

According to one scenario, Barron told the president, who was 78 at the time, that he was done. The assertion swiftly gained traction on social media, where users repeated it as though it were true.

Later, Jeremy Freeman, a forensic lip reader, evaluated the video. In an interview with LADbible, he claimed that Biden seemed to wish Barron a happy return. Jeremy deduced that Barron appeared to acknowledge briefly in response.

Other online users countered that Barron had not responded to Joe at all and had instead spoken to Kamala Harris. Additionally, Joe’s change in attitude from a smile to one that was more neutral encouraged more guesses. Judi James, a communications coach, told FEMAIL that the reality was probably unremarkable.

She claimed that after giving Joe a confident hello, Barron leaned in Kamala’s direction as part of the customary greeting ritual. She claimed that rather than being a response to a secret message, Joe’s facial shift indicated the conclusion of the conversation.

Judi pointed out that Barron’s composed demeanour might have led to misunderstandings. She claimed that when he strolled around the room, his demeanour exuded humour and confidence. It’s possible that his earlier actions—such as recognising applause and cupping his ear towards the audience—encouraged presumptions that he was making sharp remarks.

Judi also emphasised Barron’s growing prominence at public gatherings. According to her, he frequently adopts a persona where he follows his parents about and interacts with people as they come and go.

This duty, according to Judi, entails coming and going from his parents, taking the time to shake hands and say hello. He establishes his presence without overpowering his father, according to her.

Barron’s height and increasing self-assurance give him an air of formality and gravitas, according to Judi. She went on to say that his parents’ choice to let him handle these situations on his own shows that they have faith in his capacity to behave appropriately in public.

The conversation with Joe came after Donald Trump delivered a scathing speech in which he blasted the departing administration. Joe had listened, his face displaying a range of emotions from uneasiness to courteous poise.

Barron went to the 2025 inauguration with his elder brothers and his mother, Melania Trump. He is currently a 19-year-old student at New York University, and as he assumes a more prominent role during significant political events, he has garnered increasing public attention.
