Donald Trump Is Again President Of The United States
Donald Trump is the winner of the 2024 US presidential election.
It was a close race for both Republicans and Democrats, and everyone was holding their breath.
It is thought that he won Wisconsin, which is a key swing state, and that means he got the presidency.
Before November 5, when the votes were counted, no one could say who would win.
The final polls showed that Kamala Harris and Donald Trump were both within the margins of error in the key swing states needed to win the White House race.
But as election night went on, it became clear that the former president would be running again.
Trump himself called it a win before it was officially announced. He told supporters at his campaign’s watch party in Florida that it had been the “greatest political movement ever.”
The 45th and now 47th president of the United States said that this is going to be America’s “golden age.” He also called Elon Musk a “new star” and promised to “help our country heal.”
His wife Melania Trump, family, campaign staff, and JD Vance and Dana White were all on stage with him. The Republican said he was excited to “make America great again.”
“We have taken back control of the Senate,” he stated. “Wow, that is good.”
As he ran for office, Trump said, “Promises made, promises kept.” He called being president the “most important job in the world.”
Keir Starmer, our prime minister, told Trump he looks forward to working with him in the years to come after the “historic election victory.”
He also said, “As the closest of allies, we stand shoulder to shoulder in defence of our shared values of freedom, democracy and enterprise.”
“From growth and security to innovation and tech, I know that the UK-US special relationship will continue to prosper on both sides of the Atlantic for years to come.”
Nate Silver, a well-known US pollster, made his final guess before the election day. Out of the 80,000 simulations he and his team ran, Harris won 40,012.
Both sides were sure of winning. Trump’s team was more outspoken in the last week of the campaign, while Harris’ team became more upbeat as time seemed to run out to get millions of people across the US to vote.
Harris spent the last night of the campaign in Pennsylvania, a state that both candidates really wanted to win to secure the election but Trump won in the end.
But when the polls closed, exit polls came out, and the results were checked, it was the Republicans who popped champagne corks because it looked like they would win in the end.
