Disabled Dog Found Abandoned With Bag Of Diapers And Heartbreaking Note
Not every pet owner should adopt a dog or cat that is paralyzed.
But don’t let a dog’s unique requirements deter you; it might be a really rewarding experience.
Regretfully, owners of disabled pets frequently leave them behind.
Lunita was a lovely little puppy who was left on the streets of Salta, Argentina, because she had a disability.
Early in the morning of May 2014, a medium-sized female dog with a disability named Lunita was left on the streets.

A letter containing her name, age, and an explanation was placed next to her.
She was left without food or water by her previous owner. They couldn’t keep her, the person added. No other details were available.
When she was discovered, Lunita was face down on the sidewalk, her back legs still fastened to a shabby wheelchair.
Fortunately, one of the staff members who groomed the dogs noticed Lunita and contacted LUBA Salta, a rescue group.
Lunita was soon picked up by two volunteers who hurried over.
After they took the small puppy to a shelter, Lunita was put in a foster home while her details were put online in the hopes that someone would find her a home.
However, nothing occurred until an American family expressed interest!
To cover the cost of Lunita’s transfer to the US, a fundraising campaign was started.
Regretfully, Lunita’s new adopted home did not work out for her. The disabled dog was not properly cared for by her new family.
Lunita had a very nasty staphylococcal illness during that time due to a bed that was infested with mites.
Lunita was following this fresh catastrophe in her life. Her breathing was getting worse, and her prognosis was not good. adopted by a different adoptive family.
Lunita lost all of her hair from the waist down, including the tail, as a result of the illness, scabies, and urine scalding.
She weighed only 35 pounds, making her underweight as well.
She had a severe urinary tract infection that caused her to scream every time a caregiver cleaned her privates and butt.
She eventually healed, but it required a lot of work and medical care to treat all the illnesses.
In addition to her new family and good health, Lunita traveled extensively, met new friends, experienced snow for the first time, and even relished birthday celebrations.
One of the happiest days in Lunita’s life was June 15, 2018.
That day was her eleventh birthday, and she had a great time with all the people and dogs that came to celebrate.
Even her special dog-friendly cake was consumed.
But soon after her eleventh anniversary, she became ill and had to be admitted to the intensive care unit, where she once more battled for her life.
Her breathing was getting worse, and her prognosis was not good.
Lunita’s tongue would begin to turn blue every time they removed her oxygen. Her family therefore determined that it was time for her to leave.
Lunita died with her loved ones by her side.
“I will never forget her and how much she meant to me,” Lunita’s mom wrote on Facebook.
“She changed my life forever. I loved her so much.”
Due to old age and past challenges, Lunita’s journey came to an end.
However, it is evident that she had a wonderful final chapter in her life. Lunita is a remarkable illustration of tenacity.
I hope that people who believe that things won’t improve will use her life as an example. Lunita, may you rest in peace!
