Damar Hamlin Showing ‘Remarkable Improvement,’ But Still Needs Prayers
Since being rushed to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Damar Hamlin, the Buffalo Bills safety who went into cardiac arrest during Monday night’s game, has made remarkable improvement.
This Thursday, multiple reliable sources with knowledge of Hamlin’s situation updated us with encouraging news.
“He has been responsive, which is extremely positive — neurologically intact, is how the Bills reported it — and has been gripping the hands of those close to him,” league insider Ian Rapoport reported on NFL Now.

Hamlin, 24, is awake and “showing further signs of improvement,” according to a tweet sent by teammate and cornerback Kaiir Elam on Thursday morning.
One Sports, the agency that represents Hamlin, also announced some encouraging news and expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support over the past few days.

“The outpouring of support for Damar across the nation has been amazing. Thank you for the calls, messages and emails. Damar has made substantial improvement overnight. We are so thankful for all the first responders, doctors, hospital staff and everyone who has played a role in this process. Please continue to pray for Damar and we will provide updates as they are available.”
After making a tackle on Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins in the first quarter on Monday night, Hamlin went into cardiac arrest. At first glance, Hamlin didn’t seem hurt, but he slumped on the field mere seconds after getting to his feet.

His family claims he required CPR twice.
“His heart had went out so they had to resuscitate him twice. They resuscitated him on the field before they brought him to the hospital and then they resuscitated him a second time when they got him to the hospital,” Hamlin’s uncle, Dorrian Glenn told CNN.
The Bills allegedly spoke with Mario Hamlin Sr., Hamlin’s father, on Wednesday through Zoom.
He reported that his son was improving in the intensive care unit.
Damar Hamlin’s situation has not improved. He still has a ways to go and would benefit greatly from your prayers.
