Cole Palmer Left Speechless As Trump Crashes Chelsea’s Trophy Celebration

Following Donald Trump’s decision to remain on stage as the Blues raised the Club World Cup trophy, Chelsea star Cole Palmer has spoken out against the US president.

Yesterday (July 13), the England international scored twice and assisted new recruit Joao Pedro for the third goal as he guided Enzo Maresca’s team to a surprising 3-0 victory over Champions League winners PSG.

Trump has been keeping up with the Club World Cup action as it was being held in the United States. He even invited the Juventus team to the White House before, in an odd turn of events, forcing them to see him give a speech about bombing Iran.

Palmer’s effortlessly humorous remark about the most powerful man in the world has now put fans in stitches and clarified the bewilderment that appeared on his face as the 79-year-old celebrated with the Stamford Bridge team after winning their second title of the season.

Palmer seemed to ask, “What’s he doing?” in reference to Trump when he stated that he wanted to remain on stage, even though his Chelsea teammates were too busy looking pleased and celebrating—which is really not surprising considering the absurd amount of money they will make from winning.

Afterwards, the footballer said, “No, I knew he was going to be there, but I didn’t know he was going to be on the stand when we lift the trophy.”

“So, I was a bit confused.”

The idea of someone who has done nothing to help a team win going on stage to raise the trophy is completely unheard of, for those of you who aren’t the greatest sports fans.

Palmer, who plays fearlessly on the pitch, doesn’t seem to have been impressed either.

Chelsea captain Reece James was seen on camera during the trophy lift asking the republican leader if he was going to leave. The leader obviously replied no, and I guess it’s difficult to argue with one of the most powerful men in the world.

Fans responded to the moment on X, saying, “You can clearly see Cole Palmer ask his fellow players ‘what is he doing??.”

“This is EMBARRASSING for Donald Trump.”

Someone commented, “I’m actually dying at this video Chelsea players were waiting for trump to leave but he didn’t.”

Trump, who was undoubtedly thrilled by the Chelsea star’s right-wing dominance, gave Palmer another trophy and dubbed him player of the tournament. Palmer shook the President’s hand.

Perhaps the President would have preferred to lift the trophy with Jannik Sinner, but it is unfortunate that the Club World Cup final took place on the same day as the Wimbledon final.
