Off The Record
The Wife Of Chester Bennington Posted A Video That Was Taken 36 Hours Before To His Passing, And It Contains A Chilling Message
To convey a crucial lesson about sadness, the wife of former Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington once posted a video of her late husband.
The musician, who was only 41 years old, tragically committed suicide in July 2017 without leaving a suicide note.
Many people view Bennington, who would have been 49 today, as one of the most important musicians of his time. His distinctive voice helped define alternative rock and nu-metal bands in the 2000s.
However, individuals who were close to him continue to spread the word of his death nearly eight years later, emphasizing the significance of mental health.
In 2006, the Linkin Park singer wed former Playboy bunny Talinda Bentley, and the two of them have three kids together.

Even now, Talinda continues to spread awareness about the value of mental health and how people’s wellbeing might be overlooked.
She took to X back in 2017, posting: “My next tweet is the most personal tweet I have ever done. I’m showing this so that you know that depression doesn’t have a face or a mood.”
After that, Talinda shared a 40-second video of Bennington and their kids having fun and playing a game.
Along with his son and another close friend or family member, the musician appeared to be enjoying a Bean Boozled jelly bean without knowing its flavor. His kid told the camera, “This is chocolate pudding, or canned dog food!”
Bennington was especially enthusiastic when coughing, much to his family’s enjoyment, suggesting that all three of them received the latter flavor in a humorous and wholesome time.
The video was captioned: “This is what depression looked like to us just 36 hrs b4 his death. He loved us SO much, and we loved him. #f***depression #MakeChesterProud.’”
He was ‘pain free’ now, according to Talinda, after his untimely death.
In a statement at the time, she said, “He was a bright, loving soul with an angel’s voice. And now he is pain free, singing his songs in all of our hearts. May God bless us all and help us turn to one another when we are in pain.”
“Chester would’ve wanted us to do so. Rest In Peace, my love.”
Fans took to the comments of the video to share their support for Talinda and Bennington, with one writing, “Thanks for sharing this and thanks for speaking out to help people understand more about mental illness and depression. I’m so so sorry.”
Another said, “Huge respect for everything you have been doing, Talinda, to help steer the world in the direction of achieving global empathy. Much love <3”
A third added, “When I watch this, it’s hard to believe he was suffering at all. Just goes to show we never know what’s happening inside a person’s mind.”
