Bruce Willis’ Wife Shares Heartbreaking Video Of Him After His Dementia Diagnosis
Bruce Willis and Emma Heming have been married for over ten years.
Heming is keeping her wedding vows in sickness and in health despite the fact that the actress has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.
However, she can’t help but think back to times when Bruce was doing better.
Despite learning that her spouse has frontotemporal dementia, Emma Heming has kept right on going. The former model is collaborating with dementia experts to provide the finest care for her spouse.
“My grief can be paralyzing but I’m learning how to live along side it. As my step-daughter [Scout Willis] told me, grief is the deepest and purest form of love. I hope you find some comfort in that too,” Emma said in 2022.
Emma submitted a photo of herself with a woman she believed to be Teepa Snow, who assists families in dealing with dementia, to Instagram in March of 2023.
Heming remarked on the fact that Snow is helping her expand her “dementia care toolbox.”
It’s obvious that Heming is committed to providing the greatest care for her spouse.
However, that week, she learned of a brand-new Instagram function.
Instagram’s memory function allows you to view media from your account’s archive, which may date back years. A year ago, Heming had written a recollection on Willis in which she gushed over her.
In the updated caption, she asked, “What’s this new Memory thingy on IG!? Omg, my biggest fan. I’m in love with him.”
In the clip, Bruce is heard gushing about his wife’s skincare line, Cocobaba. Heming seems to be longing for the days when Willis was more successful than he is now.
Images of the celebrity out and about in Los Angeles, including at a coffee shop, surfaced not too long ago.
Willis has kept a low profile ever since his aphasia diagnosis, making this sighting all the more remarkable.
Regarding Bruce’s health and diagnosis, the family has been exceedingly forthright throughout the entire process.
Earlier, they released an Instagram message explaining the situation regarding the actor’s health.
His daughter Rumer Willis wrote, “Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis.”
She continued, “In the spirit of that, we wanted to give you an update about our beloved husband, father and friend since we now have a deeper understanding of what he is experiencing.
“Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD).”
She said that even though the news was devastating, they were relieved to have a definitive diagnosis for Willis.
Reports indicate that the directors who had most recently worked with Willis attempted to accommodate the actor’s cognitive decline by making their tasks as simple as possible.
The cast and crew of the actor’s last film, White Elephant, claim that they had to “feed” the actor lines, and that the actor would then merely copy the lines without understanding them.
A crew member later commented on the situation saying, “It was less of an annoyance and more like: ‘How do we not make Bruce look bad?’
“Someone would give him a line and he didn’t understand what it meant. He was just being puppeted.”
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Willis family during this time of loss. We ask that you join us in keeping them in your prayers.
