Angelina Jolie Asks That Brad Dismiss The Lawsuit In Order To “End The Fighting”
For some time now, Angelina Jolie and her ex-husband Brad Pitt have been involved in a legal dispute. It appears like the actress is done with this and wants to move on from it all.

While the legal dispute between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt over their French vineyard continues, Jolie’s attorneys are now requesting to “end the fighting” and have their lawsuit withdrawn.
The pair has been embroiled in a protracted court dispute regarding Château Miraval.
When Jolie chose to sell her portion in 2021, they were 50/50 partners, having purchased the property and winemaking endeavors in 2008.
Pitt filed a lawsuit against her for the sale, claiming that it violated their prior understanding that he would buy out all of her interests. This is how the legal drama began.
Jolie’s legal team filed a move in April 2024, claiming that Pitt had declined to purchase Jolie’s vineyard interests unless she signed a more comprehensive non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and that Pitt was using the NDA as a means to “cover up” his abuse of both her and their children. Pitt’s attorneys vigorously refuted the claims, nonetheless.
Pitt has “tried to punish and control Angelina by demanding a newly expanded NDA to cover his personal misconduct and abuse,” according to a statement issued by Jolie’s attorney this week.
They said, “Those actions are central to these proceedings. We are not at all surprised Mr. Pitt is afraid to turn over the documents demonstrating these facts. While Angelina again asks Mr. Pitt to end the fighting and finally put their family on a clear path toward healing, unless Mr. Pitt withdraws his lawsuit, Angelina has no choice but to obtain the evidence necessary to prove his allegations wrong.”
After two years of marriage, in September 2016, Jolie filed for divorce. Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne are their six shared children.
In April this year, Jolie’s lawyers filed a motion asking the court to compel Pitt and his legal team to give a response and documents that explain why the actor made the condition for the sale of Miraval contingent on Jolie signing an expanded NDA.
They said, “suddenly conditioned his purchase of Jolie’s share of Miraval on her agreeing to a greatly expanded NDA now covering Pitt’s personal misconduct, whether related to Miraval or not.”
“Pitt’s history of physical abuse of Jolie started well before the family’s September 2016 plane trip from France to Los Angeles,” according to the motion filed by Jolie’s legal team. The documents said, “this flight marked the first time he turned his physical abuse on the children as well” and hence, “Jolie then immediately left him.”
The filings said, “The conduct is egregious and caused significant and ongoing post-traumatic stress.”
“At trial, Jolie will prove through testimony, emails, photographs, and other evidence why Pitt was so concerned about his own misconduct that he blew up his own deal to purchase Jolie’s interest in Miraval because she refused to agree to his new, expansive NDA. Some of that evidence is currently under Pitt’s control. This is the evidence Jolie seeks by this motion.”
As to why Jolie did not press charges against Pitt for his behavior, the documents say, “Jolie never pressed charges as she believed the best course was for Pitt to accept responsibility and help the family recover from the post-traumatic stress he caused.”
