AI Reconstructs How Jesus Really Looked Like — And People Are Stunned
Artificial intelligence has demonstrated its ability to perform some incredible feats, such as revealing the true appearance of Jesus.
Despite its incredible potential, artificial intelligence is not without controversy.
For instance, not everyone was pleased with the outcomes when someone asked AI to develop the “perfect” man and woman, assuming such a thing exists.
In other places, artificial intelligence produced what the typical person from each US state appears to look like, and the outcomes were quite strange.

Following continuous arguments concerning the religious figure and his looks, artificial intelligence was more recently entrusted with determining what Jesus actually looked like.
Artificial intelligence used the Shroud of Turin to construct the image, a task that Midjourney accomplished.
What is the Shroud of Turin?
It is thought that Jesus was buried wearing the Shroud of Turin, a piece of linen, when he passed away on April 3, AD 33.
The royal chapel of the Cathedral of San Giovanni Battista in Turin, Italy, has housed it since 1578, according to Britannica.
The cloth appears to depict a faint image of a man’s front and back, presumably Jesus. Particularly, a portion of it appears to show a facial imprint, which has subsequently undergone digital alteration to create a sharper image.
What did AI do?
The Daily Express challenged the artificial intelligence website Midjourney to create a lifelike representation of Jesus Christ from the blurry image on the fabric.
A man with hair that falls just below his shoulders, a beard, and a mustache is depicted in the picture; he essentially resembles the majority of Jesus’s representations throughout history.
But the man also appears to have cuts on his torso and face, which might be a sign of Christ’s crucifixion.
What have experts said about Jesus’ appearance?
AI representations of Jesus, like the one produced by Midjourney, have been criticized by some historians as being erroneous.
His skin tone, which some claim would have been black, is one unique example.
Speaking on this, Dr. Meredith Warren, senior lecturer on Biblical and religious studies at Sheffield University, told MailOnline, “Jesus would have had brown skin, brown eyes, like the local population.”
“He died before he was 40. He wasn’t rich and would have spent a lot of time outdoors, so some lines on that face, probably. His hands and feet were probably calloused and rough.”
