After A Streamer Crashed Mclaren While Filming, Leaving His Friend Bleeding Inside, Viewers Demanded “Jail Time”

After seeing video of influencer and livestream Jack Doherty wrecking his McLaren, viewers were appalled and calling for “jail time.”

The footage of the 20-year-old YouTuber and content producer smashing his powerful McLaren supercar into the guardrail on a dual highway has gone viral.

It seems that Doherty was doing a live stream on Kick when the accident happened, because video from the event has now surfaced online.

The clip maker appears to be driving down a highway in severe rain in the films, which have been posted on X, while ostensibly distracted by his phone. It’s unclear precisely what sends Doherty reeling to the right and colliding with the railing as he loses control of his car.

The video then cuts to the aftermath of the crash, where a shocked Doherty can be seen standing outside the car exclaiming “Holy s**t” before turning the camera towards his cameraman Michael, who is bleeding from the face, and asking: “Are you okay?”

He says, “Oh my god bro, my whole f**king car bro,” and holds up the car, parts of the bonnet scattered across the road and stuck beneath the barricade. Then he asks his injured pal to keep recording as he passes him the phone.

The moment that onlookers dragged Doherty and his friend from the automobile is captured in another camera.

While they were still shooting, witnesses pulled the content creator and his companion out of the car. Doherty was heard shouting, “My fking car, holy st no.”

Subsequently, Doherty provided updates on the crash’s aftermath on social media, reassuring fans that neither he nor his cameraman Michael suffered life-threatening injuries. Michael did, however, need facial stitches.

After seeing the video, the originator of the post thanked everyone who contacted him to see how he was doing in an update on his own account.

While many online were unimpressed with the video and demanded that the content creator be held accountable for his actions, Doherty’s supporters expressed relief that he and Michael were unharmed.

“License suspended, jail time,” one person wrote on X. “This is well documented reckless driving. At a minimum, he should be banned on all platforms for this.”

“Irresponsible driving,” a second person commented, while a fourth added: “So your telling me he started recording the moment the crash happened… yeah wtf.”

A link to Doherty’s page currently returns an error notice, suggesting that his Kick channel has been taken down in the wake of the event.

Although the location of Doherty’s crash is unknown—a road sign seen in his footage suggests he was in Florida—it’s important to remember that driving in all US states—aside from Montana—is prohibited.
