Adam Sandler Fans Are Only Now Beginning To Understand Why The Same Characters Show Up In All Of His Films

The same characters keep showing up in Adam Sandler films for a very lovely reason.

There is no denying that the actor’s resume is quite strong.

Sandler has led numerous popular movie franchises, including Grown Ups, Happy Gilmore, and Hubie Halloween.

Over the years, he has collaborated with many talented people, such as David Spade, Jennifer Aniston, Chris Rock, and Drew Barrymore.

However, devoted Sandler moviegoers will notice that the same characters frequently appear in his films, with one group in particular.

As you may have noticed, Sandler co-stars with Spade, Steve Buscemi, and Kevin James in Grown Ups and Hotel Transylvania (as well as all of their sequels).

Additionally, he collaborated with Chris Rock and Rob Schneider, his Grown Ups co-stars, on the 2018 comedy The Week Of and the retrospective You Don’t Mess With The Zohan.

Speaking on their collaboration for Grown Ups in particular, Sandler previously told Collider: “Me and Fred Wolf wrote the movie. The whole idea was about putting together old friends that get to hang out for a weekend.”

“These guys are my old friends, so it made total sense. I’m glad they said yes to it.”

In Rob Lowe’s podcast, Spade also talked about it, making light of the fact that he has “only been in about 40” Sandler movies.

He said: “He assembled a team like the Golden State Warriors. Get guys that have their own movies and we’ll all be in one when there’s a lot of competition.”

“It was a good trick. And when we shot it, he spread out the jokes, so we all got to score.”

He praised the process of making the first Grown Ups picture as “the best summer of our lives” in a different interview with The Independent.

Grown Ups 2 was written because the group of friends wanted to “relive that again” in light of this.

Sandler has long maintained that he doesn’t make movies for critical praise, despite the first movie’s pitiful 10% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

“I didn’t get into movies to please the critics,” he said in a 2013 interview with their British daily.

“I got into it to make people laugh and have fun with my friends.”

Sandler has collaborated on three films with both Aniston and Barrymore, as moviegoers will have noted.

He prefers to stay close to his family as well as his pals.

His wife, Jackie Sandler, and their two kids, Sunny and Sadie, are the stars of Netflix’s You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah and his production company’s That’s My Boy.
