Identity Revealed Of Shooter Behind Deadly Michigan Church Attack

According to the authorities, at least five people, including the shooter, have died in another mass shooting in the United States, while over eight more have been injured.

According to terrifying accounts, the guy allegedly started a sizable fire after the shooting, which took place inside a Mormon church in Michigan.

The incident happened at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc Township, Michigan, on Sunday at approximately 10.25 a.m. local time. Soon after, pictures of the terrible scene appeared online. They showed a towering column of smoke from the fire that appeared to have engulfed the building’s roof.

Since then, the shooter has been identified as 40-year-old Thomas Jacob Sanford, a former Marine who was shot and killed by police after initiating his assault.

Sanford allegedly drove a car with two US national flags through the church’s front doors before shooting with an assault rifle, according to horrifying accounts from Sky News.

The 40-year-old, who was stationed in Iraq and served with the Marines for four years from 2004 to 2008, then exited his car and opened fire on Sunday service attendees.

Then, according to ATF Detroit Field Division Special Agent in Charge James Deir, he purposefully used gasoline to cause a fire.

Although the fire has been put out as of this writing, police have stated that they anticipate discovering more victims within the church’s ruins.

In addition to the two victims who had died from gunshot wounds, Grand Blanc Township Chief William Renye stated at approximately 8 p.m. last night that two other bodies had been found within the building.

Law enforcement officials arrived on the site within 30 seconds after the initial 911 call, Chief Reyne stated. He also admitted that there were “multiple victims,” but the names of the victims were not available in his department.

“Ten gunshot victims have been transported to local hospitals at this time, including one who has been confirmed deceased,” Reyne said.

Sanford was a father and husband of a little child who had been diagnosed with congenital hyperinsulinism, a disorder that causes an excess of insulin, according to the New York Post.

Following the diagnosis, a GoFundMe campaign was created to help the family financially, and it has reportedly raised $3,000.

All of the victims of this atrocity are in our prayers and thoughts.
