Charlie Kirk Murder Suspect’s Grandmother Claims FBI ‘Got the Wrong Man’
The FBI “have the wrong man,” according to Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin’s grandmother.
The right-wing activist was shot and died on Wednesday, September 10, while she was at an event at Utah Valley University.
The FBI quickly declared they had their top suspect while launching a massive investigation for Kirk’s killer, who they believe acted alone and fired a single bullet from a neighboring rooftop of the college campus.
The FBI stated today, September 12, that they had taken Tyler Robinson, age 22, into custody.

As the putative suspect stands accused of killing Kirk, his distraught grandma has reportedly come forward and said they have ‘got the wrong man’ in a case of’mistaken identification’.
Although he was a devout Republican, Debbie Robinson told the Daily Mail that he was a quiet, industrious young guy who ‘never’ talked about politics.
The 60-year-old claimed that Robinson’s father, her son, is a fervent Trump fan.
“[Tyler] is the shyest person,” she told the outlet. “He has never, ever spoke politics to me at all.”
“Most of my family members are Republican. I don’t know any single one who’s a Democrat. I’m just so confused.”
Police verified Robinson was taken into custody after a family member provided a tip.
Debbie went on to say that since finding out about her grandson’s suspected role in Kirk’s murder, she hasn’t heard from him.
“There is ‘no way’ Robinson could be involved,” she reiterated, adding that she firmly felt he had never handled a weapon like the bolt action rifle that murdered Kirk, much less one with such accuracy.
“I don’t think he ever shot a gun, to tell you the truth,” she said.
“He doesn’t hunt, he’s never liked anything like that. I know he doesn’t own any guns.”
Debbie continued: “There’s just no way he could have been that good of a shot.”
She continued to gushing over her grandson, saying, “He’s a wonderful child.”
“There is no way that he could have done anything like that. I would cross my heart and promise that there was absolutely no way. He has never, ever gotten in trouble in his life. He’s just a very shy, good kid.”
“There’s no way he could be violent,” Debbie claimed. “There’s absolutely no way that he done that.”
The revelation from his grandma comes after Utah Governor Spencer Cox claimed that Robinson had previously told his family that he disagreed with the conservative activist’s viewpoints and had grown “more political” in the days leading up to the shooting.
Debbie did, however, express her sadness for Kirk’s wife and kids, even if she believes the FBI has “got it wrong.”
On Thursday, September 11, at approximately 11 p.m. local time, Robinson was taken into custody from his residence in Washington, Utah.
Authorities have not yet provided a potential explanation. Robinson might be executed if found guilty.
