Kat Timpf Steps Away From Gutfeld! For Surgery, Addresses Online Trolls

Kat Timpf declared that she will be taking a vacation from Gutfeld! as she prepares to have another operation to address her breast cancer.

Earlier this year, the Fox News presenter revealed that she had received a breast cancer diagnosis. The announcement was made during what should have been the happiest period of her life—her pregnancy.

“I’m lucky that we found the cancer so early; I’m lucky to be my son’s mom,” she announced on Instagram in February.

“I mean, I know I’m biased, but the little dude absolutely rules — and not just because he might have saved my life.”

According to The Sun, she had a double mastectomy since then and made a comeback to television in May, appearing alongside Greg Gutfeld on the Fox Nation program What Did I Miss.

Due to another surgery, Timpf will now be absent from television for a few more weeks.

“The best case scenario of breast cancer can involve quite a road to feeling whole again, so this is the first step in that,” she posted on her social media, and added: “Just so the internet can’t come up with theories about where I am, that’s where I am.”

Timpf also expressed her gratitude to everyone who sent her well-wishes. “Huge thanks to those of you who have taken the time to offer me words of kindness and support. I love you all so much,” she wrote.

While she received words of encouragement by her fellow colleagues and many of her fans for speaking publicly of her cancer, some internet trolls cast doubt on her parenting abilities and diagnosis, forcing Timpf to defend herself. “I swear I know more about my case than people online,” she posted back in March.

She was also attacked by others for going to Coachella, which was her first public appearance since giving birth to her baby.

“One fun thing I’ve noticed about being a mom is if you ever post with your baby, or God forbid, having fun without your baby, people are like ‘Oh my God, where’s her baby? She’s a mother. Should a mother be acting like this? Grow up!’” she posted on her social media accounts in April.

“I’ve only been a mom for a couple of months, but I’m starting to think that the only way to be a parent and avoid backlash is to be a dad.”
