According to reports, Tom Brady and Sofia Vergara’s “summer romance” is not serious and is unlikely to develop into a committed partnership.
Brady reportedly “loves being single” and isn’t interested in committing to a romance, even after their flirtatious yacht rendezvous and time spent together in Ibiza.
However, the representative for Tom Brady has dismissed rumours that the former football player won’t date Sofia Vergara because she is “too old” for him, calling them “pure fiction.”

Only a few days after sparking rumours of a “summer romance,” Tom Brady and Sofia Vergara never really took off, according to sources.
“Tom loves being single and is enjoying his summer before he starts working again, and he is not looking for a relationship,” a source told the Daily Mail about the Fox football analyst who is currently signed on to the network on a 10-year, $375 million contract.
The insider said that Brady has expressed interest in other people besides Vergara because he is constantly considering his “options.”
Nevertheless, at this time, he is simply interested in having “fun” and has no interest in anything that would lead to marriage.
“He’s not looking to be settled down right now. He wants to just have fun. Flings and hookups are cool, but if anyone thinks they can have more with him right now, good luck!” the insider added about the former NFL star.
Tom Brady Allegedly Found Sofia Vergara ‘Beautiful’ But ‘Stuck In Her Ways’
Brady never pursued a serious romance with Vergara for other reasons, according to reports, in addition to his decision to stay single for the time being.
According to the Daily Mail, the former NFL star, 47, did find the 56-year-old actress “beautiful and his type,” but her age and being “stuck in her ways” meant that he “could only take her in small doses.”
“Sofia’s Colombian heritage is sexy, and hanging out with her and other sexy people on a yacht can be intoxicating, but Tom is not going to bring his work home with him if you catch my drift,” a source said.
“If Sofia has any thought that she is going to be in a relationship with Tom, she would be the only one with that thought… nobody should start thinking of celebrity relationship names for them because it is not something that is going to happen,” they stated.
The NFL Star’s Rep Slammed The Claim That He Called The Hollywood Bombshell ‘Too Old’ To Date
A representative for the NFL veteran swiftly refuted the news that Brady believed Vergara was “too old” for him to date, stating that he would never say such a thing.
“Tom never said, nor would he ever say, anything like this. It is pure fiction,” Brady’s rep told People Magazine.
According to Page Six, Brady and Vergara’s “summer romance” rumours started when they were spotted sitting next to each other at a banquet on a sumptuous cruise on the opulent yacht Luminara.
At the time, insiders confirmed the seating arrangement was no accident, revealing that Brady had “asked to switch seats to sit next to her at dinner.”
Brady and Vergara apparently stayed together after the opulent trip was over.
Tom Brady And Sofia Vergara Continued Hanging Out In Ibiza
Despite the lack of public images showing them together, a source claims that they continued to hang out in Ibiza.
Nonetheless, both have been spotted having fun at the vacation spot on their own.
Page Six posted pictures of Brady snorkelling in the crystal-clear waters without a shirt. He was also observed using soap to bathe his body and wash his hair on a yacht.
A video of Vergara in a bikini was shared on social media, with the comment, “Happy International Bikini Day from Ibiza.” She also posted video of herself having a good time with friends at a place in Ibiza.
Tom Brady And Sofia Vergara’s Previous Relationships
Brady and Gisele Bündchen were wed for 13 years until 2022. Before declaring their separation in October of that year, the ex-couple had two children together: a daughter named Vivian and a son named Benjamin. Brady and his ex-partner, actress Bridget Moynahan, also have a 17-year-old son named Jack.
Irina Shayk and the former NFL quarterback have been romantically associated ever since, but their relationship eventually ended.
He was most recently connected to actress Sydney Sweeney, whom he met last month in Venice during Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s extravagant wedding.
The previous spouse of Vergara was Joe Manganiello. Their divorce was finalised in 2024 after they parted ways in 2022 due to irreconcilable reasons. Vergara also had a son with Gonzalez, whom she divorced in 1993 after their previous marriage.
