‘Liver King’ Arrested In Austin After Threatening Joe Rogan In Bizarre Instagram Feed
Recently, Brian Johnson, also known as Liver King, has become quite popular and has been challenging Joe Rogan in odd ways. But the strange challenges quickly escalated into threats, which is how he ended up in jail.
Johnson challenged the UFC colour commentator to a grappling battle earlier this week in an Instagram video. But ever since, he apparently made the decision to face the broadcasting icon head-on. He made an attempt that caught the attention of law enforcement.

According to MMA Fighting, Liver King was arrested by Austin police after the notorious influencer flew into the city where Rogan resides while still threatening to fight.
A statement from the police read:
“On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at approximately 9:30a.m., Austin Police Department detectives were notified that a subject identified as Brian Johnson, known online as ‘Liver King’, had made threats against Joe Rogan on his Instagram profile. Detectives reviewed the posts and observed that Johnson was traveling to Austin while continuing to make threatening statements. [H/t MMA Fighting]”
The police secured a warrant to arrest Rogan on charges of Terroristic Threat after he acknowledged that he had never interacted with Johnson and that he found the films to be dangerous.
The social media celebrity was arrested by police later that day from the Four Seasons Hotel on San Jacinto Boulevard on charges of Terroristic Threat, a Class B misdemeanour. After that, Johnson was taken to the Travis County Jail.
Even after being arrested by the police, the 48-year-old fitness expert allegedly continued to upload footage on his Instagram.
Liver King can be heard stating the following in one of the more alarming films he released before to his arrest:
“We’re coming to you. I’ve challenged you man-to-man to a fight. Honorable. We don’t have to pretend or make any videos. The world is watching; they’ll make the videos for us.”

The influencer first gained notoriety for preaching the nine ancestral tenets, a purported method he attributed to keeping his amazing shape, and for having an impressive body, which he first claimed was entirely natural.
Johnson had encouraged Joe Rogan to invite him to his renowned podcast while he was pretending to be a natural, even though he was eventually compelled to confess his use of steroids. The legendary UFC fighter never accepted the offer. This may be the source of Liver King’s animosity towards the broadcaster.
