Trump Mulls Travel Ban Extension To 36 More Countries Amid Security Concerns
Donald Trump is apparently thinking of adding another 36 countries to his list of nations prohibited from entering the US, further solidifying his anti-immigration policies.
Since taking office again, the 79-year-old has been the target of intense criticism for his activities, which have included sending hundreds of individuals to one of the worst jails in the world.
Although there have been major riots and protests in response to his recent deployment of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel in Los Angeles, he has shown no signs of retreating after enlisting military assistance in an attempt to regain control of the nation’s second-largest metropolis.
But Trump’s crackdown on foreigners in the US wasn’t enough; he just prohibited overseas students from enrolling at Harvard.

What is Trump’s travel ban list?
During his first tenure as president, Trump introduced a travel ban, but it was naturally abandoned when Joe Biden took over.
However, the US president declared last month that travel to 12 countries would no longer be permitted, and that seven more nations would also face travel restrictions.
The order stated that Trump’must act to preserve the national security and national interest of the United States and its citizens’.
“We will not allow what happened in Europe to happen in America,” he declared following an attack on a pro-Israel event in Colorado.
“Very simply, we cannot have open migration from any country where we cannot safely and reliably vet and screen those who seek to enter the United States. We will not allow people to enter our country who wish to do us harm.”
Which countries are currently on Trump’s travel ban list?
A variety of African, Asian, Caribbean, and Middle Eastern nations were among those verified last month.

These nations consist of:
- Angola
- Antigua and Barbuda

Are there exemptions to Trump’s travel ban?
People from the suggested 48 nations may soon have limited opportunities to travel to the US unless they are athletes competing in a US tournament or are subject to religious persecution in Iran.
Dual nationals with citizenship in nations not included by the travel ban, Afghan nationals with Special Immigrant Visas, and those who meet the requirements to be considered “lawful permanent residents” of the US should all be allowed to travel.
