Texas Mother Loses Husband And Two Children In Devastating Head-On Collision
The ‘entire family’ of a woman has sadly died in a head-on traffic crash.
Around 12.30 p.m. on May 17, Tommy Moorehead III, 41, was driving with his two kids down a road in southern Grayson County, about an hour’s drive north of Dallas, Texas, when a pickup truck tried to pass a big truck in a no-passing zone while climbing a hill, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Along with his six-year-old daughter Lynnlee and four-year-old son Tommy Jr., the father-of-two, who was also operating a pickup truck, perished in the crash when his Chevrolet Silverado caught fire.
The driver of the crashing Dodge Ram 3500, Rocky Patterson, made it through the experience unscathed.
Since then, the 63-year-old has been taken into custody and charged with manslaughter, a second-degree crime, in connection with the tragedy that killed the Moorehead family. A bond of $3 million has been established.

In the meantime, the truck’s 74-year-old driver suffered injuries on the spot.
For widow Brooke Mustard Moorehead, who lost “her entire family”, a GoFundMe page has now been created.
It read, in part: “In a single instant, Brooke lost everything. Tommy was a devoted husband and father, a kind soul who worked hard and loved his family with his whole heart.”
“Lynnlee was full of life, joy, and curiosity. Little Tommy Jr. was just beginning his journey in the world, always smiling and full of love.”
“Brooke has been an anchor in our restaurant family for almost a decade – loyal, hardworking, compassionate, and strong. She has always cared for those around her with love, respect and grace.”
The fundraising page continued, “Now, she is facing the unimaginable, and she needs all of us to help her through this most painful time.”
“We are raising funds to support Brooke with funeral arrangements and the many unexpected expenses that follow such a catastrophic loss.”
“No one should have to go through this alone, and we hope to rally around her with the love and support she so deeply deserves.”
At the time of writing, 60% of the $150,000 that Carmen Hall, the page’s founder, is seeking to raise for the bereaved mother, has already been raised in just 10 days.
