2025’s Richest Actor Hasn’t Made A Movie In 5 Years — Yet They’re Still Worth $1.1 Billion

Although we haven’t even reached the midway point, the wealthiest actor of 2025 has already been identified.

Dwayne Johnson was the winner last year, but this time around he’s in second place to a superstar who hasn’t featured in a film in five years but is still valued at $1.1 billion.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Tom Cruise from Mission: Impossible, and George Clooney, a former co-owner of Casamigos Tequila, are among the other huge names in the top five.

According to Esquire, the number one slot this time around goes to none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger, and it’s those side gigs on top of showing up on the big screen that enable movie stars expand their fortunes.

Forbes revealed the Conan star’s ascent to billionaire status last spring.

Arnie is undoubtedly a man with many hats, and the film industry suffered when he was elected Governor of California.

However, a few weeks after he left government, he declared in January 2011 that he was reviewing several new screenplays.

However, despite his recent cinematic comeback, he most recently portrayed T-800 in Terminator: Dark Fate, which was released in 2019.

Schwarzenegger is slated to star in Kung Fury 2, but the film’s release has been significantly postponed. But this Christmas, he will return to our screens as Santa Claus in the Man with the Bag.

That will be more than five years since his last film appearance.

He has reportedly poured a large portion of his riches into real estate since his early acting days, so his finances have undoubtedly been good even without the movie industry.

According to reports, Schwarzenegger currently controls a sizable real estate empire and a 5% share in one of the largest financial organizations in the world.

It’s nearly impossible to remember now that the actor’s thick Austrian accent made it difficult for him to get roles when he first arrived in the US in 1968.

Nevertheless, according to Forbes, he produced about 50 pictures and earned $5.5 billion at the box office.

He is thought to have made around $500 million from his films, in part because of the manner he conducted business. Similar to when he featured in Twins, he consented to sacrifice a salary in exchange for over 20% of total profits, which meant that he ended up taking over $35 million, which is significantly more than he would have received up front.

In 2016, he declared, “It became such a historic deal that the studio would never, ever make that deal again.”

Schwarzenegger has also made money from investments like Google’s Series A and Starbucks, as well as Super Bowl advertising.

Nevertheless, he claimed to be a millionaire before landing any significant roles in the 1970s because of his real estate side projects, having spent a large portion of his excess cash shortly after coming to America.
