Jennifer Lopez Responds Boldly To Ben Affleck’s ‘Embarrassing’ Divorce Comments
Fans have been adoring the singer’s most recent relationship post, and Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s divorce has been a big story in the celebrity world.
After being married for two years, Lopez and Affleck announced in August of last year that they were divorcing.
Both celebrities have kept the specifics of their relationship relatively private, but Lopez set their date of split as April 26, 2024.
The ‘Let’s Get Loud’ singer made a subtle allusion to one of her best-known songs on social media this week, which delighted her fans.
“My love will now be costing a thing due to inflation,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
This contrasts with her song “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” in case you aren’t familiar with your JLo anthems.
In the 2011 track, JLo sings, “Even if you were broke, my love don’t cost a thing.”
Her followers joked with the celebrity in the comments section, perhaps agreeing with the assertion.
One person wrote, “Yasssss!!! Gotta know our worth baby.”
Another said, “Period! I’ve been saying this! Lol.”
A third added, “Talk di tingzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!! She not playin’ games wit’ yall!!!”
Despite the playful tone, Lopez didn’t appear to be specifically discussing Affleck and their relationship.
In the past, Affleck has stated that he is thankful that Lopez is in his life and that he gets along well with all of the kids in his life, including hers.
In an interview while on the red carpet for his new film The Accountant 2, he said, “Listen, I don’t read the stuff online much, and sometimes I get the sense that people perpetuate this idea of … they wanna find something negative to talk about. For the record, Jennifer Lopez is spectacular, great to my kids, great ongoing relationship with them.”
“I love her kids. They are wonderful,” Affleck added. “She is enormously important, tremendous person of a lot of integrity who I adore and am grateful to.
“I’m thrilled that the kids are here with me.”
The actor noted, “That’s the kind of thing where the relationship that you have with children like that is a joy in my life. Those kids are amazing and I’m glad that this is a movie they want to come to.”
These endearing remarks follow Affleck’s admission that he was “embarrassed” at discussing their problems, stating that it “feels vulnerable.”
