Space Flight Doubts Grow as Fans Spot Bizarre Details in Katy Perry and Gayle King Footage

Wild speculations have been rife on the internet ever since Katy Perry and Gayle King’s 11-minute journey to the edge of space.

Conspiracy theorists on the internet claim that Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin rocket’s all-female crew’s voyage was a complex fake.

As ‘evidence’ that the crew never ever visited space, social media users have now seized upon yet another strange fact.

According to comments on X, formerly Twitter, Katy Perry’s hair did not float as it should have if she had actually been in microgravity.

The fact that NASA astronaut Suni Williams’ hair stuck up at odd angles while she was on the International Space Station (ISS) has been a special target for conspiracy theorists.

One skeptical commenter complained, “The real astronaut lady that Space X saved had her hair all raised. This is so fake.”

However, internet commenters have had trouble understanding other aspects of the Blue Origin mission.

A bizarre video that purports to show Gayle King’s hand vanishing has reignited speculation that “CGI” was used to construct the mission.

Suni Williams became one of the most recognizable American astronauts after being forced to stay on the ISS for nearly ten months due to the Boeing Starliner capsule’s malfunction.

President Donald Trump even took notice of Williams’ permanently vertical haircut and labeled her the “woman with the wild hair.”

The crew of Blue Origin mission NS-31, however, did not respond in the same manner during their brief freefall earlier this week, as numerous social media users have noted.

On X, one commenter wrote, “Watch their hair. Then look at Sumi’s [sic] while in space. This is all fake.”

Another confused social media user added, “I have long hair… And when I’m underwater my hair just flows and sways and goes with the emotions in the water… You see none of that in these fake space photos.”

While one commenter complained, “Why did Katy Perry and the other females not tie their hair before leaving? Why it seems like a fake stunt to me?”

The apparent answer that Katy Perry and the other crew members had their hair done on the ground prior to their departure is obviously overlooked by this.

However, it is not unexpected that Suni Williams’ hair did not resemble that of a superstar because she spent months on the ISS without access to a shower.

Conspiracy theorists are still searching for proof to back up their false allegations, though.

One user on TikTok stated that as the crew is experiencing weightlessness, Gayle King, co-host of CBS Mornings, loses her hand.

In the video’s caption, the user writes: “It’s not real it’s fake Don’t believe me find the original video download yourself and super speed it down. what’s going on what are the distracting us from? I have goosebumps “

In the comments, users flocked to express their support for the claim, with one writing, “I think you’ve done a great job uploading this and trying your best to show everyone what they can’t see. if anyone can’t comprehend, they will find it elsewhere; no need to apologize for the eye-opener.”

However, any amount of fact-checking makes it quite simple to refute the assertion made in this film.

There is absolutely no distortion of Gayle King’s hand when viewing the original Blue Origin footage at low speed.

As evidenced by the layers of brand logos in the bottom-right corner, the purported “proof” in this film has either been added through editing or is an artifact of the video being taken from another website.

The alleged ‘fake’ hand that overzealous conspiracy theorists saw in the glass of the New Shepard capsule sparked the dissemination of false information.

On X, one commenter claimed, “Something is definitely wrong with the Blue Origin “Space Flight” that Katy Perry was on.”

These commenters had misidentified a snapshot from seven years ago as pictures from Monday’s launch, even though they were right that this was a mannequin’s hand.

Rather, this is from the New Shepard Crew Capsule 2.0 test trip, which happened on December 12, 2017.

The viral photograph shows the hand of a mannequin that was part of the trip and had been sarcastically dubbed the Mannequin Skywalker.

The NS-31 mission actually took off from Blue Origin’s Launch Site One, approximately 30 miles north of Van Horn, Texas, at 14:30 BST (08:30 local time).

Pop singer Katy Perry, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, film producer Kerianne Flynn, activist Amanda Nguyen, Jeff Bezos’ fiancé Lauren Sánchez, and CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King were among those on board.

Following takeoff, the crew capsule was transported by the New Shepard rocket barely above the Karman Line, which delineates the boundaries of space.

Just eleven minutes after liftoff, the spacecraft returned to Earth following a brief period of weightlessness and made a safe landing.
