Panic and Chaos as School Bus Crashes — Several Kids Reportedly Trapped

The bus flipped on Thursday when the kids were returning from a field trip, trapping several of them in the debris.

On I-77, the bus carrying about 35 pupils and two adults from Pine Ridge Middle School in South Carolina burst a tire and overturned.

Five medical helicopters were sent to the scene of the accident, and several youngsters were taken to the hospital.

In the midst of heavy traffic, the bus flipped onto one side, as shown in shocking aerial footage.

We don’t yet know the full degree of their injuries.

Firefighters and paramedics also arrived, and the remaining students are currently being evaluated.

Due to the wreckage obstructing the route, southbound lanes are closed and traffic was backed up on both sides of the highway.
