Man Rushed To Hospital After Making Chilling Discovery Inside McDonald’s Burger
A McDonald’s patron has opened up about his ongoing suffering after inadvertently swallowing and strangling a large piece of plastic in his Quarter Pounder.
Following a visit to the fast food business in December, Craig Freeman, 50, experienced persistent vomiting, external bleeding, stomach inflammation, and a lesion.
Before he started eating, the Brisbane father sent his wife a playful picture of what he claimed was a special treat that he had purchased from the Victoria Point restaurant in the southwest of the city.
But he realized at once that something was amiss.

“I ate it and instantly couldn’t breathe. I was struggling. I was hitting the back of my head trying to dislodge what was stuck in my throat,” he told The Courier-Mail.
Mr. Freeman claimed that after forcing his fingers down his throat to force the foreign object up, he was startled to see a sharp piece of hard plastic.
He went to the GP the following morning after waking up in pain.
But it wasn’t until he got scans a week later that the full amount of the damage was discovered.
“They found an object in the scan that resembled the shard of plastic I had swallowed and I had severe inflammation in my lower abdomen,” Mr Freeman said.
“I was given anti-nausea medication and have been advised by my doctor to take Gaviscon each morning for six months to stop me constantly throwing up.”
He said that a cylindrical foreign body appeared on the left side of his abdomen on an X-ray.
After two months, Mr. Freeman has spent thousands of dollars on scans and doctor’s visits.
Mr. Freeman now advises all fast food patrons to inspect their food twice before eating.
After McDonald’s recently contacted him to inform him that it was “closing” its investigation into the incident, he made the decision to come out about the experience.
A McDonald’s representative informed the publication that the business will retrain employees on processes and procedures since it takes food safety seriously.
The spokeswoman stated that although the local council was involved in the investigation, they were confident that no more action was necessary.
“In order for us to continue our investigation, we strongly encourage the customer to contact us directly,” they stated.
It follows last week’s unrelated incident at another fast-food restaurant in the same suburb.
Wayne On February 11, Jack was fortunate not to swallow a piece of plastic that was discovered in his KFC sandwich.
The Victoria Point business apologized and gave him a refund, but he insisted that more be done.
