If Approved, A New Shocking Proposal Might Put Donald Trump In Office Until 2032
Only a few days after taking office again, Donald Trump is already being called upon to serve as president until 2032.
Following his inauguration on Monday, January 20, in Washington, D.C., the 78-year-old Trump wasted little time in signing a slew of executive orders that have the potential to fundamentally alter the United States as we know it.
Trump has made a number of ideas, ranging from banning transgender women from being confined in female jails to withdrawing from the World Health Organization and the Paris Climate Agreement.
“The golden age of America starts now,” Trump declared during his inauguration speech. The implementation of the nation’s ‘golden age’, however, may take longer than four years, according to certain claims.
In light of this, US Representative Andy Ogles has suggested amending the 22nd Amendment to permit Trump to seek a third term in office.
The president is currently limited to two terms.
Addressing the proposal, Ogles said in a statement issued yesterday (January 23): “President Trump’s decisive leadership stands in stark contrast to the chaos, suffering, and economic decline Americans have endured over the past four years.”
“He has proven himself to be the only figure in modern history capable of reversing our nation’s decay and restoring America to greatness, and he must be given the time necessary to accomplish that goal.”
“To that end, I am proposing an amendment to the Constitution to revise the limitations imposed by the 22nd Amendment on presidential terms.”
“This amendment would allow President Trump to serve three terms, ensuring that we can sustain the bold leadership our nation so desperately needs.”
“We must give President Trump all the tools he needs to reverse the disastrous trajectory set by the Biden Administration,” Ogles continued.
The congressman claims that the’relentless injustices’ that the Biden Administration inflicted on Americans while he was in office will take ten years to rectify.
Ogles would like the proposed amendment’s language to now read as follows: “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.”
Ogles’ proposal must be approved by both the Senate and the House of Representatives in order for the president to sign it into law.
The duration of this process is unknown.
