Groom Breaks Down In Tears As He Reveals Wife’s Heartbreaking Final Words Before She Was Killed Moments After This Photo
In court, a guy who lost his bride to a drunk driver on their wedding day spoke out.
They got married on April 28, 2023, in Folly Beach, South Carolina, to Samantha Miller, the love of his life.
As soon as they left the venue in a golf cart, they were hit by a car driven by Jamie Lee Koromoski, who was drunk and going over the speed limit as the accident happened.
Aric was seriously hurt in the crash, and Samantha died. Benjamin and Brogan Garrett, who were with the family in the buggy, were also hurt.
Koromoski was caught and charged with felony DUI causing death, two counts of felony DUI causing great bodily damage, and reckless vehicular homicide.
She admitted that she did what the charges were against her and was given a 25-year prison term.
Aric Hutchinson talked in court about the last moments he and his wife had together before they left for what they thought would be the rest of their lives together.
He said: “I think about that night every single day, and the last moments I had with Sam on the golf cart.
“She told me she didn’t want the night to end, I kissed her on the forehead and then the next thing I remember is waking up in the hospital.
“I see my mom’s face, still wearing the wedding dress from the night before, and I knew instantly. So I asked for Sam, I knew she wasn’t there.”
The upset Hutchinson said that he hoped he had seen Koromoski’s car coming and that he would have “jumped off the golf cart so you would have only run me over.”
“We did not get hit, we got ran through at 65 miles per hour, there is no way the three of us should be alive, all four of us should have died that night,” the groom said in court.
“You took the greatest human being I’ve ever met, she’s not coming back, she’s gone. She was my world.”
Koromoski got 25 years in jail for killing Samantha, 15 years for seriously hurting Hutchinson, and 10 years for killing someone without a good reason.
The terms will run at the same time. Koromoski told the judge she was “devastated, deeply ashamed, and sorry,” and she now knows she was drinking too much and did not care how her actions affected other people at the time.
She told him, “I wish I could go back and undo this terrible tragedy. But I cannot. I will live the rest of my life with intense regret for what happened that night.”
