Liam Payne’s Final Snapchat Minutes Before Death Is Heartbreaking
Just minutes before he passed away at the age of 31 from a fall over a balcony, Liam Payne shared a frightening last social media post with his girlfriend.
On Wednesday night, the pop artist fell from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.
Shortly after 5 p.m., former One Direction member Payne fell from his room at the CasaSur Palmero Hotel, according to multiple witnesses who spoke to the outlet.
Using a throwback photo that Kate had previously uploaded to commemorate his 30th birthday last year, the star’s final Snapchat post had him joyfully posing with his bikini-clad companion Kate Cassidy while they gazed into a mirror.
In other entries from the star’s last days, he talked about how he and his partner had been “waking up at 1pm every day” and how they had decided on Forrest Gump as their Halloween costume while having a late breakfast in his hotel room.
He made a joke about his partner leaving her hat on the table as he was filming himself and Kate at the breakfast table.
A further tragic selfie was captioned “Lovely day in Argentina” before the star shared a photo of his hotel, writing, “Happy I got some time away, followed by a heart emoji.”
He posted another picture of Kate with the phrase “Quality time.”
Even though Liam and Kate traveled to South America together, according to TMZ, she came home on October 14, and the singer checked into Casa Sur by herself.
A red tent has been set up in the area, and emergency personnel are reportedly outside the hotel. The singer’s death is still being investigated.
According to Alberto Crescenti, a spokesman for the city emergency service provider, he had fallen about 40 meters and sustained “severe injuries that were incompatible with life.”
He said: “The alarm was raised at 5.04pm local time saying a person was lying in an internal patio at Casa Sur.”
The man was declared deceased when an ambulance arrived at 5:11 p.m.
We then learned that he had previously been a well-known vocalist. Sadly, the injuries he sustained from the fall turned out to be lethal. There was no chance of saving his life.
The news brought back a bone-chilling photo dating back to 2014 of Liam standing on the narrow ledge of the 34th floor of his apartment building in East London. A then-20-year-old Liam later apologized for the stunt, which was performed at a height of 360 feet.
Niall Horan, a former bandmate, saw the Night Changes singer in the nation earlier this month at a concert.
At the age of 14, he made his X Factor debut in 2008, and his rendition of Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me To The Moon” won over the judges.
But in 2010, Payne tried his hand at singing again, trying to get into the competition. He soon became well-known as a member of One Direction.

The quartet cruised through to the live shows after impressing Simon at their Judge’s Houses audition after just a few weeks of getting to know one another and practicing nonstop.
It took him ‘about a millionth of a second’ to see the group’s global potential, the pop singer Svengali later acknowledged to Rolling Stone.
The fan response was also immediate, and 1D mania quickly overshadowed the program. The band eventually placed third on the X Factor despite the acclaim, but Cowell quickly sealed their doom by landing the fivesome a rumored £2 million Syco contract.
In January 2011, Cowell began recording the band’s debut album, eager to capitalize on the guys’ already loyal fan base.

Liam released his debut solo album, LP1, in 2019 after putting out five albums with one of the greatest boybands ever.
In the same year, his single “Stratch That Down,” which he co-wrote with Ed Sheeran, rose to number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The pop sensation worked with artists including J Balvin, French Montana, Dixie D’Amelio, and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie during his musical career.
He had previously dated British music star Cheryl Cole, with whom he had a son, Bear Grey, born on March 22, 2017.
Another former XFactor competitor, Jedwad, wrote: “RIP Liam Payne” in one of the many tributes that have been posted online. I send my condolences to his family and friends.
They added, “Sending strength to Cheryl and his son Bear, and all the One Direction family.”
Paris Hilton wrote: “So upsetting to hear the news of Liam Payne passing. Sending love and condolences to his family and loves ones. RIP my friend.”
Stephen Bartlett penned: “I cannot believe what I’m reading about Liam Payne. Absolutely heartbreaking.”
MTV released the following tribute: “We’re deeply saddened to learn of Liam Payne’s tragic passing today. During this difficult time, our hearts remain with his family, loved one, and fans.”
