Prince Harry Gives Brother William His One Condition For His Return As A Working Royal
Prince Harry is apparently focused on making a successful life in the US but may only consider returning as a working royal under one specific condition.
Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, has supposedly no plans to return to the royal family without an apology from his brother, Prince William.
Harry says he is happy with his decision to leave his royal responsibilities, and he stands by it. Despite his uncompromising attitude, Harry is thought to be open to a temporary post inside the royal family if King Charles III begs him to.
Friends, however, allegedly told The Mirror that he is aware of William’s treatment of him. According to reports, the brothers are still distant and have not spoken in months. Even though they were in the same room during their uncle Lord Fellowes’ funeral in Norfolk last month, they stayed apart.
Furthermore, allegations circulated that the Prince of Wales believes there’s zero hope of reconciliation after his brother wrote his biography “Spare.”
But Harry seems to be taking his chances without waiting for his brother’s blessing. According to The Mirror, he has reunited with previous trusted advisors and old pals to establish a plan for potentially reintegrating into UK social circles in the future.
Nevertheless, sources close to Prince Harry allegedly believe that any new communication with former aides is more about seeking strategic or friendly counsel rather than a desire to rejoin the royal fold.
While returning isn’t his present focus, it’s thought that Harry is open to aid if needed. This support would come in handy given the recent hardships faced by Charles and Prince William during their extended vacations for cancer treatment.
According to The Mirror, Harry is interested in deepening his friendship with Charles, especially given the King’s recent health issues. However, the 39-year-old would still demand an apology from his brother before committing to represent the royal family in any capacity.
In prior interviews, Harry intimated that there were events between him and his brother that were left out of his memoir.
When asked why certain information weren’t published, he stated that he purposefully opted to withhold some occurrences, knowing any discoveries concerning family members would draw criticism.
Others, notably those involving his brother and father, would cause irreparable hurt and lead to unforgivable consequences
Despite this, he acknowledged that his family played a crucial role in his story, making it difficult to ignore them totally.
Some of the information regarding his family was included so they may provide insight into the persons and personalities engaged in Harry’s life. Nevertheless, he conceded that his family might find it hard to forgive even the things he did include.
The Duke of Sussex also declared, “But the way I see it is, I’m willing to forgive you for everything you’ve done, and I wish you’d actually sat down with me, properly, and instead of saying I’m delusional and paranoid.”
He also emphasized the need for an honest talk: “Actually sit down and have a proper conversation about this, because what I’d really like is some accountability. And an apology to my wife.”
Harry doesn’t get along with his brother, yet he still attends important family gatherings. He secretly returned to the UK on August 29, 2024, as we previously stated, to attend the brother-in-law’s burial, who was his late mother’s brother.
His elder brother William attended the memorial service with him and also made a quiet appearance. Most internet users are glad to hear that the brothers are back together, but some believe William shouldn’t put his trust in his younger brother just yet.
A local source verified that they did not witness the brothers exchanging words, even though the two princes were present to say goodbye to their late uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, who died in July at the age of 82.
“William and Harry were both there, but we never saw them speak to each other, and they were keeping their distance,” said the source.
It was reported that William and Harry were seated apart in the back of St. Mary’s Church in Snettisham, Norfolk.
Curiously, one person—who was considered a close family friend—confirmed that the two princes were present, but another person claimed that they didn’t see Harry or William until the very end of the ceremony.
“I didn’t know they were there. They arrived very discreetly,” divulged the source. Nonetheless, when the public heard about the princes being in the same room together, they flooded social media with comments.
Some were delighted to hear the news, given the fact that the last time the brothers were reported to be in the same room was at their father’s coronation, which took place over a year ago. “So happy for them 🙏🏼🙏🏼,” swooned a fan.“Good for you, Harry,” praised an admirer.
Similarly, another said, “If that is true, [I’m] so glad [and] happy for the brothers; blood is thicker than water; bless them both.”
“I hope this funeral helps them realize how important family is and how quickly the time can come when reuniting just becomes a regret of what could have been,” wrote another, echoing a similar sentiment.
Bringing William’s wife, Princess Catherine, and the late Princess Diana into the mix, a Facebooker asserted, “It’s time William and Kate just tried a little harder to be nicer to Harry. They were always so close, and I know Diana would want them to remain close forever. X.”
Other comments include, “Private plane then,” and a social media user wondering, “How come he was allowed to go????”
Amid the praise and urges for the brothers to make amends, some netizens feel that Harry cannot be trusted. “Watch your back [Prince] William,” warned someone on Facebook, while another noted, “William is smarter than that. Harry cannot be trusted.”
It’s no secret by now that William and Harry haven’t been on the same page for a while. Numerous media sources have published articles describing how tense, dramatic, and full of past and present scars their relationship is.
The fact that Harry is not just at odds with his brother but also with other senior members of the royal family—especially when it comes to his father—only serves to aggravate the situation.
Charles does not return his younger son’s letters or calls, according to a July claim from a media site.
In a similar vein, Harry’s attempts to mend his differences with William have also been unsuccessful. With the exception of Charles’s coronation, at which Harry is said to have sat two rows behind his brother and family, the brothers haven’t been spotted together since September 2022.
They arrived with their spouses to greet the mourners gathered outside Windsor Castle following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
According to reports, the brothers’ falling out began in 2016 when William voiced his worries about how quickly his younger brother’s connection with Meghan Markle was developing.
With the publishing of “Spare,” Harry fanned the flames even more by disclosing startling information about his family, including referring to his elder brother as his “arch nemesis.” Harry also revealed the physical and verbal fights the two of them had.
Tensions reached a breaking point in 2020 when Harry and Meghan decided to leave their royal careers behind and start over in the United States.
Harry was told at some point following the death of Queen Elizabeth II that the protections that had been in place for him and his family would no longer be available. Despite the late queen’s warning that Harry and Meghan needed security, this decision was made.
In February of this year (2024), additional scandals involving the royal family surfaced. Following the news of Charles’s cancer diagnosis, Harry traveled from the United States to London to meet his ailing father. However, their stay was reportedly cut short as the King intended to recover in Norfolk.
Before returning to Los Angeles, Harry was rumored to have stayed at a hotel in London rather than with his family.
The Duke of Sussex did not meet with his father or brother when he traveled back to the UK in May to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games. The gulf between the brothers is terrible, but according to an insider, it is not “irreparable.”
There may be optimism that William and Harry may work things out now that they are reportedly friendly enough to be in the same room again.
