Isabella Strahan Shared Heartwarming News On Her New Blog, And We Are In Tears

In a video posted to her YouTube channel on July 18, months after initially disclosing that she had been diagnosed with a brain tumor, Isabella provided an update on her health.

The woman filmed herself going to have an MRI in the video, “Goodbye Hospital.”

She revealed that she was cancer-free in a video that she recorded while driving and sharing the results of her scans.

She said, “It was a great, great scan. Everything was evident. I’m cancer-free and doing fantastic. My next scheduled medical appointment isn’t until October.”

She thanked her medical team for their support over the past few months while she underwent treatment for medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor that arises in the cerebellum, a region of the brain located in the lower back.

Isabella added, “I already miss my doctors,” to her video. “I feel like I’m just saddened today knowing that I wasn’t gonna be going back for awhile because I love them so much. So, that was my last hospital vlog until October!”

When Isabella and her father spoke on Good Morning America in January, they revealed that Isabella had been given a medulloblastoma diagnosis in October 2023. She started having “excruciating” headaches and nausea during her first semester as a freshman at the University of Southern California, which led to her diagnosis.

She had an MRI after starting to throw up blood when she woke up one morning. From there, medical professionals found that she had grown a golf ball-sized tumor, four centimeters in size, developing in the back of her brain.

She underwent multiple rounds of radiation therapy and a month-long recuperation period following her late October surgery to remove the lump. She said in January, “So I just finished radiation therapy, which is proton radiation, and I got to ring the bell yesterday. It was great. It was very exciting because it’s been a long 30 sessions, six weeks.”

Isabella has since kept a YouTube journal of her fight with cancer.

She posted a video of herself and her family celebrating her final round of chemotherapy in the hospital last month.

She was seen in the video going down the hospital hallway as her family and loved ones threw confetti at her.

Isabella wore a crown and rang a silver bell as the video came to a conclusion, signaling that her “treatment’s done” and that she was “on [her way].”

Her father Michael also posted a video of the festivities to Instagram, captioning it with a heartfelt note about his daughter.

“@isabellastrahan you are a SUPERWOMAN! Ringing that bell finishing chemo and on your way!” the news anchor wrote. “You continue to fight with a smile on your face, strength, and determination. I am one proud Dad! Love you, Bella.”

Michael discussed how his everyday outlook on life has changed as a result of his daughter’s cancer diagnosis during her January visit on Good Morning America.

“You learn that you’re probably not as strong as you thought you were when you have to really think about the real things, and I realized that I need support from everybody,” the former player for the New York Giants stated. “You think that I’m the athlete, the tough guy, you know, I can come and handle, I’m the father in the family. It is not about any of that. It doesn’t matter. And it’s really made me change my perspective on so many things in my life.”

The former NFL player is a father of four children. With his first wife Wanda Hutchins, he is the father of two children: son Michael Jr., 29, and daughter Tanita, 32. Along with his second wife Jean Muggli, he brought Isabella and her twin sister, Sophia, into the world in 2004.
