The Australian actor shared a photo of himself on Instagram on Thursday, posing thoughtfully for the camera and writing the word “hi” as the caption.
Though incredibly innocent, the post did make some admirers fear Hugh wasn’t performing to his full potential.

This Thursday, the 55-year-old Australian celebrity posted two close-up pictures of himself and a one-second video of a floor to his social media pages.
Hugh closed his eyes in a photo that seemed to be taken in public. “More!” is how he captioned the post.
Many of Hugh’s fans were quick to express in the comments section how confused they were by the post.

The 55-year-old Australian celebrity posted a one-second video of a floor to his social media profile along with two close-up pictures of himself.
One person commented, “Bro can’t sleep and now he’s posting random pictures of himself in the middle of the night.”
A user posted with laughing emojis, saying, “Looks like half the pics in my library, posed, confused and lots of floor or grass vids.”
“Are you ok?” inquired a different follower.
After 27 years of marriage, Hugh declared last year that he and his longtime partner Deborra-Lee Furness had separated in September.
To fans’ surprise, the ex-couple disclosed that they had split up “to pursue our own growth.”
“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” the pair stated in a statement that PEOPLE was able to get.
“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition.”
“This is the sole statement either of us will make,” the ex-couple wrote after signing the statement as “Deb and Hugh Jackman.”
After meeting in 1995 while working on the Correlli set, the couple was married in 1996.
They adopted two kids during their marriage: daughter Ava, 18, and son Oscar, 23.

A video posted by Icons+ on Facebook claims that “after a racy leaked photo showing him with his trainer, his divorce with his wife was confirmed, revealing the hidden story behind their 27 years of marriage.”
There is also a comment from a verified profile named George Cox that claims “It’s well known in the inner Hollywood circles that he and his assistant have been lovers for years. I know a Broadway producer who told me about 15 years ago. He will come out soon. No big deal.”
