After the two women briefly vanished, Simone reappeared with medical tape encircling her left leg. The gymnast reportedly had to have her leg taped after causing a calf strain during her floor exercise warm-up.

Even though the news source also claims that Simone was observed limping around the arena, once she entered the competition area, she concealed her limp.

After learning that Simone had hurt herself during a warm-up, a lot of people expressed their opinions online, with the majority of them being critical of her. “Smart. This time, if she wants to quit, she can blame injury instead of nerves,” wrote an X user.
